This year marks a landmark moment for European science. The Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) — one of the world’s most prestigious research funding programmes — celebrates 30 years of supporting researchers, fostering collaboration, and pushing the boundaries of knowledge. The TAME project is proud to be part of this remarkable legacy.
TAME is a Doctoral Network project funded under the European Union’s Horizon Europe Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions. Its mission is clear: improve the diagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease and related disorders, and accelerate the development of new, effective therapies. Bringing together talented early-career researchers ,our Doctoral Fellows, from across Europe and beyond, TAME is building the next generation of scientists dedicated to fighting this disease.
What TAME’s Fellows Are Working Towards
Through the MSCA framework, TAME’s researchers benefit from:
- International mobility, gaining experience across leading European institutions
- Cross-disciplinary training, combining neuroscience, clinical research, data science, and more
- A shared goal: to make public health systems better equipped to diagnose, monitor, and treat Alzheimer’s disease
Importantly, TAME’s research also integrates a gender perspective, recognising that Alzheimer’s does not affect everyone equally and that truly effective solutions must reflect the diversity of patients.
